About This Project

The R Group was engaged to perform comprehensive energy audits for a Pasadena middle school under California's Proposition 39 Clean Energy Jobs Act. Our expert analysis helped the school identify and implement energy improvement measures that significantly reduced operating costs while improving the learning environment.

The school district needed to comply with Proposition 39 requirements and demonstrate measurable energy improvements to qualify for state funding. The facility had aging HVAC systems, inefficient lighting, and limited visibility into energy consumption patterns across multiple buildings on campus.

Our certified energy auditors conducted a thorough assessment of all building systems including HVAC, lighting, building envelope, and controls. We developed a prioritized list of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) with detailed cost-benefit analysis and assisted the district in preparing all required financial audit documentation for program evaluators.

The audit identified multiple high-priority energy improvement measures with strong ROI. The school successfully qualified for Proposition 39 funding, enabling implementation of the recommended upgrades. Our documentation was accepted by program evaluators, unlocking state funding for the district's energy improvement program.
